The national government is advancing in the sale of Enarsa shares to Citelec and expects to receive offers by April 14, following a recent change in the tender schedule. The original date was March 26, but the Ministry of Economy decided on a postponement to ensure the success of the operation. According to sources from the electricity market, the aim was to guarantee that interested parties can manage the electricity transmission network without it being an entry barrier that limits competition between firms. Among the interested parties in the operation are local energy groups, generators, and financial sector actors analyzing the company's revenue stability. Transener, the firm operated by Citelec, manages a network of over 15,000 kilometers of high-voltage lines nationwide. The sale of these shares aligns with the official policy of reducing the state's presence in non-strategic assets. The bidding for the company that operates over 15,000 kilometers of high-voltage networks involves major business groups, largely of local origin. For example, Edison Energía, a company led by Juan and Patricio Neuss, is said to be incorporating local entrepreneurs. Another potential bidder is Genneia, chaired by Jorge Brito, the main company in energy generation from renewable resources. The decision of Central Puerto and a possible stance from Edenor, now owned by José Luis Manzano, Daniel Vila, and Mauricio Filiberti, are also awaited.
